You’ll learn the basics of how operating systems, networks, and user accounts work, and how logs from different sources are collected to spot suspicious activity. You’ll practice analyzing signs of malicious behavior like unusual network traffic, unauthorized software, or phishing attempts. Tools like Wireshark, SIEMs, and VirusTotal will help you detect and investigate threats. You’ll also get introduced to scripting with Python and PowerShell for automation. Finally, you’ll understand how security processes can be streamlined and improved to make operations more effective.
